After tonight's airing of Extreme Couponing, it's very likely that there are a lot of people with new interest in couponing! While it's obvious that some people do save thousands of dollars at the grocery store, please realize that you won't start saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars right away. BUT, if you start off small, you will start saving very quickly!
First, here are a few sites that I highly recommend for great coupons and savings:
Coupons.com: Printable coupons that can be used at any store that accepts coupons!
Cellfire: Paperless coupons! Just digitally load coupons to your Kroger Plus Card!
Free Coupon Alerts: Sign up for a daily email with great new offers!
Sunday Coupon Preview: Find out in advance what coupons will be included in this weekend's paper!
Woman's Freebies: Sign up for daily offers! Lots of free samples that come in the mail will include a coupon you can use if you want to buy the product!

If you're new to couponing, sometimes the lingo that is used on blogs and websites can be really confusing! I've created a list of abbreviations or "lingo" used to explain certain deals, bargains, coupon inserts, or rewards at pharmacies! If you think of one I forgot, let me know!
RP = Red Plum Insert (usually in the Sunday paper)
SS = Smart Source Insert (usually in the paper as well)
BOGO = Buy One Get One
Q = Coupon!
MQ = Manufacturer's Coupon (meaning, not a coupon for one specific store)
MIR = Mail In Rebate (pay cash up front for an item, send off your receipt for cash!)
Catalina = The coupons that print at some grocery stores with your receipt - good OYNO
OYNO = On Your Next Order (when catalinas can be used)
+UP = Reward Earned at Rite Aid when you buy certain items, good on your next purchase
SCR = (Single Check Rebate) Similar to a MIR, go to Rite Aid's website to apply for your SCR!
ECB = (Extra Care Buck) Earned at CVS when you buy certain items, good on your next purchase
RR = (Register Reward) Earned at Walgreen's when you buy certain items, good on next purchase
